The Credit/Loans officer will be required to identify clients, assesses and manages loan applications, monitor and ensure repayment of loans advanced by the company by ensuring loan portfolios maintain high quality.
Key Responsibilities:
• Sales and Marketing: Identifying new loan opportunities and attracting clients.
• Assess Creditworthiness: Evaluate individual and group loan applications, verifying financial information and assessing repayment capacity.
• Loan Application Processing: Process loan applications, collect necessary documentation, and maintain accurate loan files.
• Portfolio Management: Manage loan portfolios, monitor repayments, and follow up on outstanding loans.
• Customer Service: Provide financial advice, answer client questions, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Compliance: Operate in accordance with lending regulations and policies.
• Reporting: Justify loan decisions and report on portfolio performance.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, internal teams, and external contacts.
Key Attributes:
• Relevant experience in lending, credit analysis, or related roles.
• Strong analytical and financial skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Familiarity with loan products and lending regulations.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in loan processing.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively and work effectively unsupervised.
• Dynamic, professional and sound character.
