Key Responsibilities
- Tax Compliance and EFRIS Management
• Prepare and file tax returns, including VAT, PAYE, and other statutory obligations.
• Manage and operate EFRIS for accurate tax reporting.
• Ensure compliance with all local tax laws and regulations. - Inventory and Financial Management
• Oversee inventory transactions, ensuring accurate recording and valuation of stock.
• Conduct periodic stock reconciliations to align inventory with financial records.
• Provide financial insights to support inventory control and business decisions. - Bank and Supplier Reconciliation
• Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure consistency between financial records and bank statements.
• Reconcile supplier accounts to track payments, outstanding invoices, and credit terms.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth transactions and account management. - Financial Reporting
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Generate periodic management reports to provide insights into business performance.
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting activities. - General Accounting Duties
• Record and maintain daily financial transactions in accounting software.
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of financial records.
• Support audits and provide necessary documentation for financial reviews.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a hardware or inventory-based business.
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, including EFRIS, VAT, and PAYE.
• Experience in bank and supplier reconciliations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally, or similar systems).
• Strong understanding of inventory management and financial controls.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and high accuracy in financial reporting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
