Key responsibilities:
• Manage and monitor the entire yogurt production process, from raw milk intake to packaging, ensuring consistency in quality and output.
• Implement and monitor quality control protocols in line with national and international food safety standards, hygiene practices, and labeling regulations.
• Provide leadership, supervision, and training to production staff; promote teamwork and enforce safety and productivity standards.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of production equipment, including pasteurizers, fermenters, and packaging machines, minimizing downtime.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules to meet targets while managing resources efficiently.
• Track raw material usage, forecast inventory needs, and coordinate with procurement to ensure timely availability of inputs.
• Analyze production data, control waste, and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or safety.
• Identify problems in the production line, such as equipment malfunctions or product inconsistencies, and implement timely solutions.
• Use production management software and Microsoft Office tools to document production activities, quality reports, and process improvements.
• Communicate effectively with logistics, procurement, quality assurance, and suppliers to ensure smooth workflow and supply chain continuity.
Requirements:
Thorough knowledge of quality control systems, food safety protocols and hygiene practices.
At least 3 years of experience in yoghurt production.
Degree in Food Science or a related field.
At least 3 years of experience in yogurt production.
Strong understanding of dairy processing.
Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of the entire yogurt production process, from raw materials to finished product.
- Familiarity with the equipment used in yogurt production, including pasteurizers, fermenters, and packaging machinery.
- Knowledge of relevant safety and quality regulations, such as food safety standards and labeling requirements.
- A strong understanding of dairy processing, including milk handling, pasteurization, and the fermentation process specific to yoghurt production;
- Thorough knowledge of quality control systems, food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and relevant regulations for ensuring product safety and quality;
- Problem-solving and analytical skills in order identify and address issues that may arise during production.
- Experience with production management software, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other relevant toolsl
- Knowledge of supply chain coordination, inventory management, and forecasting is important for ensuring a smooth and efficient flow of materials.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;

v. Organizational Skills: Ability to plan, schedule, and manage production efficiently;
vi. Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with teams, clients and suppliers;
vii. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills in order to develop and implement production schedules, manage resources, and meet deadlines;
viii. Attention to Detail. A focus on precision and accuracy is necessary for maintaining high quality standards.
