Location: Entebbe – Lweza Road
Key responsibilities:
- Food required to understand is chips, chicken, pizza, burger, katogo and other menu items.
- Ensuring recipe specifications to make sure that all food prepared is correctly and to a high standard in line with company guidelines.
- Timelines. The chef is required to prepare all meals within a specific time to reduce time lags and delays to the final consumer/Client.
- Ensuring all required food processes and practices are followed at all times. Including food safety/Healthy & Safety Controls.
- Designing the presentation of each meal. All meals should look presentable and eye catching for the client so as to be able to enjoy his/her meal.
- Ensure cleanliness. The chef is expected to work in a high lying hygienic manner at all times. Ensuring that all food is prepared in a Safe environment. This also includes his uniform.
- Hospitality. The Chef is expected to be hospitable, he should be cooperative and polite to any visitors and team members at all times.
- Completion. The chef is required to complete food preparation duties as required.
- Teamwork. The chef should be able to assist his colleagues whenever and wherever possible hence promoting excellent team work.
- Respectful. The chef is expected to follow reasonable instruction from the management team and carrying out miscellaneous duties as required.
Requirements:
- Diploma or formal training in Culinary Arts or Catering
- Strong experience in food preparation and presentation
- Knowledge of food safety and ability to work under pressure
