Job Duties:
- Lead the development and submission of grant proposals, concept notes, and funding applications in alignment with program goals.
- Manage donor relations, including timely communication, updates, and acknowledgments to maintain positive and productive partnerships.
- Prepare and submit high-quality reports to donors, ensuring compliance with funding agreements and deadlines.
- Identify new local and international funding opportunities and partnerships aligned with the organization’s mission.
- Coordinate cross-functional input from programs, finance, and M&E teams to support proposal development and reporting.
- Maintain an organized grant tracking system for deadlines, deliverables, and reporting timelines.
- Represent the organization in meetings with donors, networks, and other relevant stakeholders to promote visibility and credibility.
KPIs:
- Number of proposals submitted
- Funds raised
- Donor retention rate
- Timely report submissions
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Communications, Project Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is an added advantage).
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in grant writing, fundraising, or partnerships management, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Proven track record in securing donor funding from foundations, NGOs, bilateral or multilateral agencies.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills with an eye for detail and clarity.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Familiarity with donor compliance, proposal budgeting, and reporting procedures.
